Instructions

    Decarboxylate cannabis for 30 minutes at 239°F (115°C) in the oven – spread evenly on parchment paper.

    In a heavy pot over low heat, slowly melt the butter and water.

    Stir in the decarboxylated cannabis and distribute well.

    Gently simmer at 158–176°F (70–80°C) for 2 hours. Do not boil – temperatures above 194°F (90°C) destroy THC. Stir occasionally.

    Strain through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl. Press the plant material well to extract all liquid.

    Let cool and set in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
