Instructions

    Decarboxylize cannabis on a baking sheet at 230°F (110°C) for 40 minutes (preheat oven, spread cannabis evenly).

    Melt butter and water in a small pot over low heat.

    Add ground cannabis and simmer at the lowest heat (maximum 176°F/80°C) for 2 hours. Do not boil!

    Strain mixture through a fine strainer or cheesecloth into a glass or bowl. Press cannabis residue well.

    Let liquid cool. Butter settles as a solid layer on top.

    Pour off water layer, transfer butter to a clean glass. Keeps in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
