Instructions

  1. 1
Finely grind cannabis and decarboxylate in a closed Mason jar in the oven at 212°F (100°C) for 40 minutes. Keep the jar sealed — this preserves all the aroma.
  2. 2
Add activated flower to 100 g (3.5 oz) butter and infuse in a water bath at approximately 158°F (70°C) for at least 3 hours — up to 24 hours for more intense effects. Strain butter through a fine sieve or cheesecloth, collect, and chill.
  3. 3
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta al dente according to package directions. Before draining, reserve 1 cup of pasta water — this will bind the sauce later.
  4. 4
Finely mince garlic. Heat a little olive oil or regular butter in a large pan over medium heat and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes until translucent, without browning.
  5. 5
Add shrimp to the pan and sauté for 2 minutes on each side until they turn pink and curl slightly. Season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
  6. 6
Add drained pasta directly to the pan with the shrimp and toss well. Add pasta water as needed for more creaminess.
  7. 7
Turn off the heat and remove the pan from the stove. Now add the infused butter in pieces and let it melt gently — active compounds are only preserved at low temperatures.
  8. 8
Garnish with freshly chopped herbs and serve immediately on warm plates. Enjoy — and please keep dosage in mind.
