750 ml 3.17 cups Burgundy red wine (or full-bodied Pinot Noir)

2 tbsp 2 tbsp Tomato paste

1 tbsp 1 tbsp Flour

Instructions

1Pat beef dry. Heat cannabutter in Dutch oven. Brown beef in batches.

2Sauté bacon and carrots. Toast garlic and tomato paste for 2 minutes.

3Stir in flour. Pour in red wine and broth. Bring to a boil.

4Add herbs. Cover and braise in oven at 320°F (160°C) for 2.5 hours.

5Meanwhile, sauté mushrooms and pearl onions in butter separately.

6After braising: Remove herbs. Stir in mushrooms and onions.

7Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes — sauce reduces and glosses.
