Instructions

  1. 1
Rub the pork shoulder with cannabis dry rub. Store cool for at least 8 hours.
  2. 2
Set smoker/kettle grill to 225-250°F (120°C) with indirect heat. Use hickory wood for smoke.
  3. 3
Smoke for 6-8 hours until internal temperature reaches 199°F (93°C). Spray with apple juice every 2 hours.
  4. 4
Wrap in foil and rest for 1 hour. Shred with two forks.
  5. 5
Stir cannabutter into hot meat, mix with BBQ sauce. Serve.

Pro Tips

  • Internal temperature of 93°C (199°F) is mandatory — at 85°C (185°F) the meat will still contract.
  • The stall at 70-75°C (158-167°F) is normal — just wait.
  • Add cannabutter only when shredding — never during smoking.
