  • 350 ml 1.48 cup Warm water
  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Salt
  • 60 g 2.1 oz Cannabutter (soft, for dough + brushing)
  • 100 g 3.5 oz Mozzarella or Oaxaca cheese (shredded, for filling)
  • 2 tbsp 2 tbsp Olive oil (for frying)
  • 4 tbsp 4 tbsp Crema or sour cream (for serving)
  • 1 piece 1 piece Ripe avocado (sliced)

Instructions

    Knead masarepa, water, and salt into a smooth dough. Let rest 5 minutes.

    Work 1.4 oz (40g) cannabutter into the dough.

    Form 8 equal balls. Press flat into ⅜-inch (1cm) thick discs.

    Place cheese in the center. Fold dough over. Reform into a patty.

    Heat olive oil in a pan. Fry arepas over medium heat 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown.

    Transfer to a plate. Immediately brush with remaining cannabutter (0.7 oz/20g).
