Instructions

1Dissolve yeast in warm milk with 1 tsp sugar. Let stand for 10 minutes.

2Mix flour, sugar, salt, egg yolk, cannabis butter, and vanilla with yeast milk. Knead for 8 minutes until very soft, sticky dough forms. Let rise for 1 hour.

3Roll out dough on floured surface ½ inch (1 cm) thick. Cut donuts using two round cutters (3.5 inch / 9 cm and 1.2 inch / 3 cm).

4Place on parchment paper strips. Let rise for another 30 minutes until puffed.

5Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Slide donuts into oil on parchment (paper releases).

6Fry for 60 seconds per side until golden yellow — not too dark!

7Transfer immediately to a wire rack and let drip for 2 minutes.

8Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla into a thin glaze.
